XTM Cloud 13: The Pathfinder Release
Map your own globalization journey
Unlock new translation abilities with XTM Cloud 13
The newest version of our translation management system is not only more powerful, it also makes it easier for all XTM users to harness that power.
Take control of your globalization journey, reduce translation time and costs, and deliver high-quality localized content with XTM Cloud 13.
Enhanced User Experience
Your favorite TMS is getting a refreshed look and feel, starting with three redesigned tabs. This new UI enables you to get content localized more efficiently with fewer steps and clicks, enjoy a seamless experience with added step-by-step guidance and get greater insights into your XTM Cloud instance with access to more detailed information.
Communication Reinvented
The new Query Management Module in XTM Cloud 13 enables you to communicate using the platform you already use on a daily basis, without needing to open any other tool. Within XTM Cloud, you can create, access, and manage all your chats, and get the answers you need without ever having to leave the interface. This way, queries can be resolved as fast as possible, avoiding rework, mistranslations and additional costs.
Advanced AI functionality for more accurate translations
Leverage more matches from your Translation Memory with AI
Our breakthrough NLP-driven algorithm for translation matching, Weighted Token Levenshtein, has been enhanced to leverage more TM matches, providing up to 25% more matches. Simply put, XTM Cloud is now able to leverage more TM matches by recognizing and retrieving similar segments which differ only by the order of words.
What’s more, the algorithm now takes into account proper nouns, such as “Visit Paris” or “Visit Hanoi”, ensuring that they are recognized and leveraged when calculating the score. As a consequence, segments which were offered as a 50% fuzzy matches in the past will increase their match to 75%. This has significant direct cost savings: it’s like finding money in your pockets that you didn’t know was there.
Enable linguists to focus on translation and let AI do the rest
Manually placing inline tags (HTML and other inline elements) into the correct location in a translated sentence is a time-sapping activity. Our improved auto inline feature now leverages the latest XTM NLP advancements in deep translation analysis, ensuring placement of inline tags is more precise, increasing accurate inline tag placements from 62% to 73%. This means time savings for linguists as they spend less effort locating placement tags.
Get more from Machine Translation with AI-enhanced TM technology
This enhanced, fully-featured functionality strengthens the alliance between TM and Machine Translation, creating an opportunity to leverage existing resources in an innovative way. Fuzzy matches coming from the Translation Memory are now directly sent to SYSTRAN, enabling TM and Machine Translation to work together to deliver the best match possible.
This functionality, powered by SYSTRAN Neural Fuzzy Augmented (NFA), enables linguists to save time without requiring resource-intensive machine translation engine training to provide high-quality MT output. This means that additional context is provided to the MT engine, ensuring that confusion over Homographs (words that are spelled the same but have different meaning) is avoided.
For instance, the TM would provide context for words with different meanings, such as “glasses”, ensuring the MT can tell whether you’re referring to wine glasses or reading glasses.
Let DeepL provide accurate localization
DeepL Integration has been strengthened, providing you support for glossaries and formality. Using glossaries, you can ensure that the MT engine is able to find and use the right terms, so that on-brand, accurate content is produced.
With formality support, you can decide whether the translation provided should be formal or informal, getting matches in line with your writing style. Target files will be populated at exactly the right level of formality, from using highly formal language to more casual.
Smart Connectivity
Connectivity improvements are entering a continuous deployment cycle, ensuring a steady stream of new features
We have made our connector releases independent of the main XTM Cloud releases. This means connector users can take advantage of advances to connectors more quickly. Latest improvements include Optimizely, Kentico, Contentful, Hubspot, Sitecore and AEM.

UX improvements in Workbench
XTM’s powerful Workbench now features two UX improvements, which enable linguists to work faster and more efficiently.

Narrow-in on user comments
To make it easy to distinguish user comments from auto comments at a glance, different icons are now being used. Linguists are now able to quickly spot and focus on comments added by other users, without getting distracted by other types of comments, such as tracked changes within automatic comments.

Spell-check made easy
It is now possible to edit words highlighted by the spell checker faster than ever. This refreshed functionality enables linguists to edit the highlighted terms directly via the keyboard, without having to use any of the suggested words or to press Escape. To make this functionality even more efficient and give linguists more control, it is also possible to show or hide spelling suggestions via a new custom shortcut.
New REST API features
As part of our commitment to making full automation a reality, we have added some new API features which our customers have asked for via the XTM Wish List
XTM Wish List is our feature request portal, available from XTM On Demand. It gives you the opportunity to make your voice heard allowing you to submit feedback and suggest new functionalities.

Get started faster and configure your XTM environment via API. Additional options make it possible to obtain customer details, edit customer details or delete customers, streamlining how information gets updated.

It is now possible to see if templates include pre-processing in the workflow. Additionally, when creating a project, it is possible to add a pre-processing workflow step straight away. This makes the creation process more efficient.

The "Mark segments as locked when" option can now be enabled on a project level, additionally to being available on a template level. This option ensures that no unexpected charges are applied to segments that don't require any edits, cutting unnecessary translation costs.

OAuth2 authentication is now supported for API users who require that authentication for their call-backs. This ensures that your security requirements can be met by XTM Cloud, providing you with a seamless, secure experience.
Making PM, linguist and admin’s work more efficient
AsciiDoc support
XTM Cloud can now extract translatable content from AsciiDoc files automatically, making it easier to translate technical content.
Improved edit distance results for character-based languages
Benefit from more accurate results enabling you to evaluate the linguist’s effort needed to improve Machine Translation results for projects with Chinese, Japanese or Thai as a target language.
Never overwrite your translation by mistake
The option to edit your translation memory from Workbench now features an added step to ensure linguists never overwrite a segment by mistake.
UX improvement in Users filter
Administrators can now filter users more quickly and easily as the settings have been made clearer and more user friendly.
Define advanced status mapping options for XLIFF files
Enable linguists who use other CAT tools to be able to upload XLIFF files to XTM Cloud without losing information on XLIFF statuses.
Get started faster with improved user import
Importing user details from outside of XTM Cloud is now much more effective, as the Excel user import template has been extended to cover all options available on the user editor on the UI.
Improved reporting
Our reports have been improved to include information about non-translatable segments for all types of reports.
New language support
Mam, Valencian, Aranese, Hindi (Simplified) and Buli (Ghana) are now supported, giving you added flexibility and the ability to expand your scope of potential work.
