We’re delighted to announce that we’ve confirmed the full set of speakers for XTM Live 2023, which will be taking place in London (UK) on April 19-20 and will be focusing on how to drive global growth through language technology.

Furthermore, we’re excited to present a brand-new format for the event’s second day, which will combine its usual language-technology training sessions with customer presentations and panel discussions addressing some of the hottest product technology topics in the localization industry today.

Keynote on the first day of the event will be Bruno Herrmann, executive advisor and consultant in global-content operations, who will be speaking about how to leverage technology to create value and drive growth. Fei Liu, Localization Manager at RS Group; and Josef Kubovský, CEO at Nimdzi Insights will take part in a panel discussion addressing how to reposition localization from a cost center to a growth driver. Scrappy Makes Perfect is the title of the thought-leadership talk that will be given by Giulia Tarditi, Head of Global Experience at Qualtrics, who will be presenting innovative ways to repurpose localization technology to drive profitability elsewhere in the business. Marco Rotelli, Senior Product Manager at eBay will drive a session on how localization technology can drive process transformation to operate at speed, and we will see case studies from Nicola Dorrington (GetYourGuide), Michael McCourt (McAfee), Heidi Welke (Tchibo) and Ciarán Duffy (ServiceNow), as well as a joint one from Andreas Merz (Crown Gabelstapler GmbH & Co) and David Serra (Acolad).

Intento, one of the event’s sponsors, will be on stage with its Customer Success and Professional Services Director Andy Nikulin, who will be joined by TXTOMedia’s CEO and co-founder Wouter Maagdenberg, as they present a use-case of MT engines with gender control. Those interested in learning about localization strategy should not miss a panel discussion with event sponsors Rigi, SYSTRAN and XTRF, who will give their thoughts on how to build a future-proof strategy for 2023 and beyond.

We will also have our two localization-technology experts presenting, with CTO Andrzej Zydroń and Linguistic AI Expert Rafał Jaworski addressing the latest advances in large language models (LLM) and how AI advancements are blurring the line between futuristic visions and reality. The event will also be an opportunity for our new CEO Ian Evans to introduce himself to the wider audience, as he oversees his first XTM Live after taking over in January from co-founder and recently retired former-CEO Bob Willans, who will also be speaking at the event.

Day 2 of the event will see the launch of its new format, which will combine the usual XTM Cloud training sessions and new-feature showcasing by the XTM Xperts team with customer presentations and panel discussions who will be speaking about the latest industry trends. Josef Kubovský will start the day with a talk discussing the state of the industry, and will be followed by XTM’s Product Director Sara Basile, who will talk about ways in which to empower growth through language technology.

If you’re interested in the irruption of ChatGPT, GPT-3 and large language models, you won’t want to miss the panel discussion Where do we go from here?, which will see Kerstin Bier (SAP), Alessandra Binazzi (Global Sights) and Andreas Ljungström (XTM) discuss from how AI technologies are going to shape the future of localization from the enterprise-approach, strategic and technological perspectives. Fei Liu will be back on stage presenting how XTM Cloud enabled RS Group to centralize its language-ops platform across different functions, and Stéphanie Bouyer and Lucie Milan (Talend) will be talking about the different, innovative ways they used XTM Cloud to boost the quality of their localized content.
