Unlocking the Power of OpenAI: Closed Beta Feature Now Available

The roll out of 13.6 has just started, with the official release scheduled for mid April 2024

We’re excited to announce the launch of our brand-new native integration with OpenAI GPT. This feature, available in closed beta, opens up new possibilities for users seeking cutting-edge GenAI capabilities.

What sets this feature apart is our commitment to privacy and customization. Unlike other platforms, we process customer data exclusively through their own OpenAI subscription. Administrators can configure their own API key, ensuring complete control and peace of mind over their data. Additionally, project managers have the flexibility to enable or disable GPT for each language pair, allowing for tailored translation workflows. For instance, you can opt for GPT for French while using DeepL for German, giving you the choice to use your preferred tool for each language.

But that’s not all. In future stages, we’re set to introduce auto fuzzy completion, a use case where GPT truly shines. With the ability to leverage context, GPT outperforms most of the commercial providers, offering unparalleled accuracy and fluency in translations.

Enhanced Control with Filter Template Configuration for XML Files

XTM Cloud users are now able to configure file filter rules specifically for XML files using filter templates. XML files are used in various domains, from websites to technical documentation, making them one of the most used file types by our users. However, their complexity can lead to user frustration.

With this new feature, users can now fine-tune parsing rules for XML files directly within the Filter templates, empowering them to handle XML localization with ease. The highlight of this feature is the in-context preview. This intuitive interface simplifies the configuration process, empowering all users to effortlessly adjust parsing rules, even without a technical background. Whether it’s for a website, DITA, or tech documents, users can now tailor XML parsing rules to their specific needs, saving valuable time.

Parallel Analysis for XLIFF files [Private Cloud clients only]

In the fast-paced world of localization, every second counts. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce a new configuration to boost project analysis efficiency, allowing for significant performance improvements using parallel processing for XLIFF files.

With parallel analysis for XLIFF, regardless of the number of locales or MT engines involved, analysis time is dramatically reduced for our users on Private Cloud.

Latest XTM API Enhancements

Our latest API enhancements provide users with unprecedented control over project settings, multi-endpoint callbacks, project reactivation, and detailed reporting:

  • REST API Project Settings: Users can now define customer Translation Memory (TM) and Terminology to use while creating or updating projects via REST API, offering enhanced customization and flexibility.
  • Obtaining Finished Dates for Workflow Steps: Users can now obtain the finished date at bundle and step levels via REST API, enabling the creation of customized productivity dashboards.
  • Multi XTM Callbacks Endpoints: XTM REST API callbacks can now be configured to reach more than one endpoint, simplifying communication and workflow integration.

Enhanced Functionality and User Experience

On top of these new features, we are introducing a series of enhancements aimed at optimizing the user experience and functionality.

Firstly, our terminology capabilities have been upgraded to increase the accuracy of term identification within URLs. This leads to translations that are more on-brand and compliant.

We’ve also improved Visual Mode for Adobe Experience Manager projects, ensuring smoother operation and providing a better experience.

Lastly, the following new languages are now supported in XTM Cloud: Fula (Latin), Fula (Adlam), Fula (Arabic), Sylheti, Ndebele Northern, Ndebele Southern, Chinese (Shanghai) and Modern Standard Arabic. Besides, the already supported Rohingya (Myanmar) language has been updated to be right to left. As a reminder, XTM Cloud lets you choose any language pair as part of your subscription.
