London, May 27, 2019 — XTM International has released a new version of its translation management system featuring improved project management and Quality Assurance (QA), optimized mobile experience, increased interoperability and more API and XTM Portal related enhancements.

More efficient project management

The latest enhancements provide greater convenience for project managers. First, there will be a new tab for project managers in the User Editor showing a summary of the words processed by each user. The same information will be available for linguists under the Tasks tab. Second, the revamped Project search now allows project managers to search for multiple projects within a single request, both in the simple and advanced search fields.

XTM 11.7 enables project managers and linguists to filter and sort the list of active tasks assigned to a user or to a user group including tasks to be accepted or rejected. This makes it much easier to check the progress of projects and evaluate workloads. In addition, the Project Delivery Dates report has been revamped with a new, more user-friendly format.

Enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) in XTM Editor

The new Quality Assurance (QA) option in XTM Editor allows linguists to check the order of inlines in the target segment. If the sequence of inlines in the target language deviates from the source, a QA warning is displayed helping to increase quality of the translated output. This option has been added to the global QA profiles and may be customized.

The XTM app for Android and iOS tablets has been completely redesigned to follow platform standards and to provide a more friendly user interface. This improves mobile performance helping to maximize the efficiency of project managers.

Increased interoperability

XTM’s connectivity has been extended with a connector for IXIASOFT, a component content management system (CCMS) for localizing DITA-based content. This results in faster and more cost-effective localization of technical content. Also XTM Connect for Google Sheets, now enables users to export, import and share their Google Sheets settings with other users, thus reducing errors and simplifying the overall localization flow.

Even more improvements

Several API methods have been added to XTM v11.7. The new API methods include generating specific target files within a project based on the file name, obtaining custom fields, project custom fields and linguist rate cards. As of now, users will have project statistics available for a specific time range per linguist and project. For the time being this feature is only limited to continuous projects.

XTM Portal has been improved to permit via Single Sign-On (SSO) in addition to the standard login method.

Deployment of XTM Cloud 11.7

The rollout of XTM v11.7 is delivered as a free-of-charge upgrade as part of the standard XTM subscription agreement. As of now, XTM users can fully enjoy the benefits of the updated version.
