London, April 6, 2020 — XTM International has released a new version of its enterprise-grade translation management system, XTM v12.3. The version supports more print file formats (.AI, .EPS), empowers global enterprises with artificial intelligence translation, provides enhanced integration in XTM Workbench, refined project management with advanced security, and more granular MT analytics.
New support for additional file formats (.AI, .EPS)
XTM’s support for Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) and Adobe Illustrator (AI) files reduces DTP work and eliminates human errors in the process of preparing digital content for print. This will allow handling of higher volumes of visual content and enable faster and more cost-efficient workflows, as manual processing tasks are reduced.
Artificial intelligence translation in XTM Workbench
This new update introduces AI-driven auto-inserted inlines into XTM Workbench. Text elements representing formatting are automatically inserted into target segments during translation. This increases productivity for linguists. Configurable inline tag settings, shortcuts, and a new automation filter bring further efficiency gains. In addition, usability enhancements have been added, resulting in a better overall translator experience.
More connected XTM Workbench for in-context quality translation
Rigi integration in XTM Workbench enables linguists to obtain a new contextual preview of the live application. The interactive previews remove the guesswork from translation enabling accurate, error-free output. The interactive pdf previews of MS Word files provide similar outcomes. Moreover, quality assurance capabilities have extended with the new MS Word spelling checker and integrated Xbench. Users can now run advanced quality checks in Xbench and instantly correct them in XTM Workbench.
Enhanced project management and security
XTM v12.3 brings more automation and flexibility to project management. This is provided by flexible cost settings, more streamlined management of due dates and enhanced filtering in the Advanced search. Project Managers and Admin users can manage the ability to download target files at additional levels of object hierarchy including customers, projects and project templates.
Advanced machine translation reporting
This update offers additional insights into the best-performing MT engine, and post-editors’ productivity through advanced MT performance analytics.
Other enhancements
XTM Cloud v12.3 also introduces enhancements to connectors, machine translation and new API methods.
