XTM incorporates a comprehensive terminology module. This is a database of your terms which includes a concept, definition, context, image, multilingual translations, and comments. In XTM Editor, the system identifies and highlights terms in the source text that are in the term base.
XTM then displays the approved translation and additional data about the term in a popup window. This feature facilitates a consistent use of the agreed terminology during translation. Users can import and export the terminology in XTM and edit or add new terms directly from XTM Workbench. You can also add custom tags to terms for a more detailed categorization.
For easy access, it is possible to keep the Terminology module open in a separate window while translating in the workbench. You can do this by right clicking on the tab and selecting “Open in new window” from the context menu.
Search more precisely
You can now search on a wider range of terminology attributes and customize the display to suit your frequently used fields using the extended configuration features.

User access rights can be finely customized in XTM, so you have full control over who can add, modify, approve or delete terms in your customers’ termbases. Users without approval rights can add suggested terms pending approval by an authorized user who has both edit and approve rights.
Customise your search
You can create custom fields to add additional data for managing your terminology. These custom fields may either apply to a concept or to a term. Go to Settings > Data > Custom fields > Terminology custom fields to create or edit custom terminology fields.
Create a cross reference from one term to another
