Esther Curiel is currently the Globalization Manager, Diagnostics, at Zoetis, the world’s leading animal health company. She has been helping brands achieve international growth objectives for two decades, in a variety of roles both on the buy- and vendor-side of the localization industry. She is a regular speaker at industry events, and has served as a dragon at the Localization Process Innovation Challenge (PIC).

Maria Hopfgarten has been in the localization industry her whole career. She originally started out as a Swedish translator, which also brought her to the United States. Maria has worked both on the Client and Language Service Provider side in a variety of operational management leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of industries, but consistently supported life sciences clients. Currently, Maria works for PPD part of Thermo Fisher, where she has built an internal language service provider model within the company supporting all internal and external translation needs. Outside of work, Maria enjoys friends and family, Colorado nature, reading, and writing.

Bruno Herrmann has more than 25 years of experience in international product, content, and customer experience leadership within large organizations and startups, and in various industries such as technology, market research, business intelligence, and life sciences. Until July 2022, he was the Director of Localization Operations at IQVIA. From 2003 to 2018 Bruno had roles of increasing responsibility at Nielsen and HP.

With over 25 years in the localization industry, Iñaki currently holds the position of Senior Implementation Specialist. During his career, he has specialized in different areas such as Enterprise Terminology Management, Linguistic Technologies, Machine Translation, Linguistic Engineering, and L10N platforms. He currently works on the implementation of language-technology software for enterprise life-science companies. Prior to starting in the localization industry Iñaki completed a research Masters’ degree in Translation Studies. He has been a guest lecturer at Lancaster University and Dublin City University and had different works published in The Irish Yearbook of Applied Linguistics.
