XTM TechTalk: The shift to digital and how it is transforming events
A recent study by McKinsey (“The COVID-19 recovery will be digital”) looked at how global consumer sentiment and behavior continues to reflect the uncertainty of the global pandemic. They suggest that we have jumped five years forward in business digital adoption in a period of just eight weeks.
Doesn’t 2020 feel like it has been 5 years long rather than almost one?
Right from the outset, we have been set up for the shift to digital.
XTM, much like many other fully digital companies, found the switch was more “business as usual” than a shock to the system. Our product and our own way of working natively lends itself to a 100% digital work environment. We took some time out from planning the next XTM LIVEStream event to share some insights on the shift to digital, in particular when it comes to business events.
Conferences have to be interesting, interactive and inclusive and that is what XTM LIVEStream is about.
In this TechTalk, I spoke with Bob Willans and Camillo Brena, and asked them how this shift presents a challenge for companies who both attend and run events, and what XTM International is doing in this regard. We also discussed the upcoming XTM LIVEStream event and the story of where XTM LIVE and XTM LIVEStream events came from.
