LexisNexis® Intellectual Property Solutions faced the challenge of cleaning up their user interface texts to prepare them for localization into various languages. This process required addressing issues like concatenations and reused UI strings with different meanings in different contexts.
The team needed an efficient solution to manage and streamline the localization process, ensuring translation accuracy and consistency while handling a high volume of new texts.

The Solution

LexisNexis® Intellectual Property Solutions implemented Rigi to solve these challenges.
Rigi automated language suggestions, accelerating the UI text cleanup and preparation for localization. The tool enabled the detection of concatenations and context-specific reused strings, ensuring accurate translations. Rigi allowed the team to manage translation statuses clearly, assign tasks easily, and gain insights into project health through dashboard charts.
The localization process became independent of development, with translations ready and validated parallel to development sprints. This integration resulted in faster shipping of new features in local languages, increased efficiency for translators and reviewers, and reduced the need for in-depth product training.

With Rigi in place, our translators and reviewers are much more efficient. No longer do they need in depth product training to understand the context of our translations. Translators now just open their CAT tools, launch the Rigi Viewer, and there they have it! Our reviewers work directly in the Rigi Editor and also benefit from the Rigi previews.
